Intruder alarm systems should be professionally serviced on an annual basis, failure to do this may invalidate your home insurance policy! check with your insurer! If you have moved into a property and do not know the system codes then in most cases these can be reset and the system can be reprogrammed and tested to ensure it can be used and effective for you.
We can service intruder alarms fitted by other companies as well as those fitted by ourselves.
Probably the most common fault on intruder alarms leads to them alarming during any power outage. If your alarm siren activates when there is a power cut then we should be able to resolve this issue and ensure your alarm continues to work effectively.
How much is an alarm service?
On a standard domestic intruder alarm system our service charges start at just £50 plus VAT This price doesn’t include parts or consumables such as replacement batteries etc should your alarm require any additional work.
Replacements
If your current intruder alarm has failed and cannot be repaired due to obsolescence, often we can retain the cabling you have currently and replace the main panel, keypad(s), bell box and any required detection to give you a new, modern intruder alarm with remote access and notifications by smart phone app. The process of replacement generally takes less than a day and due to not having to run new cables is minimally invasive in your home.
New Installations
For new installations we provide a mixture of wired, wireless and hybrid systems to suit the property. On a new build property a wired system is generally preferred due to the long term ease of maintaining a wired system. In an existing property taking up flooring and chasing out plasterboard tends to be more trouble and upheaval than its worth so commonly wireless or hybrid systems are installed to ensure a minimum of fuss and mess for the property owner.
Our preferred range of panels have a 4 line LCD display giving accurate and detailed information to the user at all times as well as the ability to link the system to smart phones without any costly monthly or yearly subscriptions! That’s right, we do not charge for the app features on your alarm, once it is installed the app will work without the additional fees charged by some of our competitors!
